Le Galibier Challenge est une "épreuve de masse", inscrite au calendrier de la Fédération Française de Cyclisme. Pour participer, vous devez disposer d'un des documents suivants reconnus par la Fédération :
- Licence FFC compétition ou "épreuve de masse"
- Licence FSGT compétition cyclisme
- Licence UFOLEP compétition cyclisme
- Licence UCI
- Certificat médical "non contre indication à la pratique du cyclisme en compétition de moins d'un an, au jour de l'épreuve"
- Certificat médical "non contre indication à la pratique du sport en compétition de moins d'un an, au jour de l'épreuve"
Les licenciés suivants doivent présenter un certificat médical, cité ci-dessus :
- Licence Triathlon
- Licence FFVélo loisir et compétition
- Toutes licences non citées ci-dessus
