-
The Confrérie Pass (1,296 m) and Mollard Pass (1,638 m) combo
The day starts with a demanding yet little-known challenge: the back-to-back ascents of the Col de la Confrérie and Col du Mollard. Together, they total 18.3 km of climbing, 1,065 m of elevation gain, and a steady 6% average gradient. The climb begins in the forest with the Col de la Confrérie, famous for its 42 switchbacks and featured in the 2023 Critérium du Dauphiné. The effort continues seamlessly into the Col du Mollard, whose more irregular profile adds character to this unique double ascent.
-
Valmeinier 1800 climb (1,800 m)
The finale takes you to Valmeinier, with a 12 km ascent averaging 7%. This climb gained international attention as the scene of Tadej Pogačar’s victory in the 2025 Critérium du Dauphiné, making it a must-ride for any cycling enthusiast.
With its 82 km and 2,500 m of climbing, this new route is the perfect challenge for climbers seeking a demanding randonnée, in a friendly non-timed format, before tackling the legendary Galibier on Sunday.
Long or short route? The choice is yours. Stop or keep going depending on how you feel – no need to decide in advance.
